My Story - From over 7 figures of debt to a Life I love

Posted by Lee Anne Bartlett on 16 March 2016

Yes that is my story in a nutshell. I went from being a BUSY Mum/Franchise Owner. Working 60-70 hours a week, Overweight, Highly Stressed and really just not a fun person to be around. My children lived at Childcare and for all of that I was making not much at all income wise. Hence why we were in such a huge amount of debt. I tell you what that is not a place I want to be ever again.

In saying that I learnt a lot from that experience, I learnt lots of great lessons about debt and tax. So I would not change that experience. I did love my Franchise it just wasn't the right vehicle for me to create the life I desired.

When I decided to start a little online business alongside my Franchise many people thought I was crazy. But I had a fire in my belly, I had desire and I had a BIG WHY. Things had to change, this was not how I wanted life to be. I knew that I was destined for better things in life. I wanted to be a Mum who was there for all the events, school pick ups etc. I wanted to be a good wife one that was enjoyable to be around. I also wanted more time for me, to exercise to look after myself. And most of all I wanted to not have to worry about money, be able to say YES more and take my family on amazing experiences around the WORLD.

So by me saying YES (as scary as it was) I started on the right path, the path that has lead me to where I am today. Don't get me wrong to start it was hard work managing it all, 2 businesses and being a Mum. As they say, short term pain, long term gain. But it was totally worth it. I could not imagine where I would be today almost 7 years later. Would I still be working crazy hours, would I still be stressing over money, would I have had some kind of breakdown?? Possibly so. I really dread to think.

I love today that I get to work from home, or whereever I choose to work. We travel the world and take my parents with us too. My children have travelled to more countries than they have teeth and the experiences we have shared are absolutely priceless. We have achieved some absolutely amazing goals which would have never been possible in the past life we had.

Even better than this I have been able to assist others achieve similar. My passion is mentoring people and being able to assist people create what I have created is the best reward ever. Love that I get paid to grow and learn and inspire.

It all starts with a decision that you want to change, then some small steps in the right direction, consistent action and a big WHY! What is your WHY? Is it worth the risk? Absolutely

Start your new journey NOW and Be personally mentored by me ..

Are you being lead by your Current Circumstances

Are you being lead by your Current Circumstances

Are you being lead by your current circumstances? Since starting my business at home I have been making a very conscious effort not to let this be the case. It can be very hard however, when the circumstances are right there in bright neon signs!!

We all have current circumstances whether they are good or bad, or even worse - comfortable! We can't just totally ignore them and wish them away, they are there for a reason of course. Iif they are not what we desire, they are there as a guidepost so we know we are not where we want to be. They give us a starting point to move away from which is great.  Acknowledge where you are and how you got there, then set a new goal and move the focus to that.  As we know we should not focus on what we don't want, or we will get more of that.

Lets say that our current circumstances are good and we feel really comfortable where we are.  I know from personal experience this is not so good. When we are in our comfort zone too long it means we are slowly going the wrong way - backwards/downhill.  All of a sudden a huge adversity will throw us out of the comfort zone and into creating and moving forward.  If you are being lead by your current circumstance in your happy place (comfort zone) you want to make sure you have set the next goal and are moving towards that ASAP, and not merely sitting still in your comfort zone for too long.

Working on my own Personal Development has really taught me so much about focusing on the goal and not sitting dormant for too long.

My amazing journey

Posted by Lee Anne Bartlett on 21 August 2015
My amazing journey
I have learnt that we can change our life, if we truly want to. It won't be easy, but it will be worth it.

As a Mum, Wife, Daughter and a business owner I wear a lot of different hats during the day. All of the roles I have, I love doing. Was this always the way?? Absolutely not.

Let me give you some background.

When I was 21 I started my own business, I was so excited that I was going to be in control of my life. I was going to have so much freedom, so much time to spend doing what I love. I was soon to realise this was not true. The first big mistake I made in business was to have a business partner join me. It was great for a while, she really did have some of the skills I was yet to learn which was great. But we did make some bad decisions and ended up losing a few hundred thousand dollars. My business partner then walked out and left me with the mess to sort out.

I then joined a franchise in my area and soon realized that what I had done was purchase myself a double full time job. I was working 60-70 hours a week, was paying myself around $30k per year (when I did pay myself, which was about 4 years out of the 10) and my children were living at childcare. Due to the long hours, I was highly stressed and overweight. I was also very restricted with where I could market and what marketing I could do and I had set fees from every sale that went to head office. Even when it came to selling my business I was restricted as to who could buy it from me. Yes I had my own business, but I was not in control of everything.

"When I worked out my hourly rate I was making $9.20 p/h as a franchise owner.. Crazy right??"

At the end of every month I would be a blubbering mess, stressed to the hilt wondering how I was going to pay the bills this month (and every other month) We were in over 7 figures worth of debt (I can tell you what that is not a good place to be mentally)

It was after the birth of my second child and only having two weeks away from the office before having to go back to work that I decided enough is enough. I wanted to be there for my family. Surely there was a better way to make an income without working myself into the ground. Really I wanted control back. I wanted to call the shots. I wanted to live my life.

So I started to get into Personal Development which has completely changed my life. The first personal development speaker I saw was Kurek Ashley, then I started watching The Secret. Life changing!! It was then I attracted the perfect home business for me

Was it easy when I started working 60+ hours in my franchise, being a Mum and running a part time business? No it wasn't. I had to get up early, stay up late, I was lacking some sleep. But I knew that a little short term pain would produce long term gain. You can not build a business overnight. You have to put in the hard yards to start, learn some new things and build the foundations.

I am extremely happy to say my hard word has paid off, I pinch myself everyday with what I have been able to create for myself and my family. We get to spend time with amazing inspirational people traveling around the world. In this past year we have been able to take our entire family (including parents) to USA for 3 weeks including Disneyland. We have travelled to Vegas in May to renew our wedding vows with friends. We then headed with the Europe for the most amazing cruise in June. In December this year we are off again to Ireland for a few weeks to spend time with friends we met in this business and we are so excited to be staying in a real castle.. My business comes with me and doesn't miss a beat. I love the freedom I have to work where I want and when I want.

I get paid to develop myself along the way. And I get to do this from home own my own schedule.

I am so very grateful for what I have learnt along this journey and so proud that I get to mentor and train others to achieve the same.

If I can do it, Anyone can. You just have to make the decision you want change, then back it up with massive action until it is achieved. Will it be worth it? Absolutely

Continued Success with my Home Based Business

Continued Success with my Home Based Business
You may want to know, you may not.... it's possible to make $126,000 USD Revenue in one month working from home. I know, because I just did it in my business in the month of FEB. Yes you read that right. I will get your questions out of the way right upfront.

Why do I post this? - because I'm damn excited and just like I did, you may like to look at how its possible for others - just like you. Is this MLM? - NO. Do I make lists of my friends and families and do home parties and coffee shop meetings? - NO. Do I cold call people and go chasing for business? - NO. Is there a system in place that can train others to duplicate the success that so many people are already enjoying from this business? - YES!

My business is a direct sales business in Personal Development. So I get to grow myself and get to travel to amazing places around the world and assist others in growing and developing themselves and their businesses. I have team members earning an annual salary in just one month. Are these incomes that could make a big difference to your life?

I am so grateful for having found this amazing opportunity over 5 years ago. My business has completely changed my life. I used to work 60-70 hours per week, my girls used to live at childcare, and I was over weight, highly stressed and not a fun person to be around. We were into debt past the roof and I thought there was no going forward. At the end of each month I would be in tears wondering how I was going to pay everything I owed. It's not a fun place to be, I am sure some of you can relate. I was a slow learner and took my time to build my business here part time along side the franchise I owned at the time. It was not easy, I won't lie. There is work involved, consistent work involved. This is not a get rich quick gig. It is a serious business, that if worked right can change your life like it has for me and my family. Thanks to what I have been able to create here I just this week bought my parents a new car. I have taken our whole family including grandparents on trips to the USA, Canada, Tahiti etc. and have been able to assist so many others in so many other ways -making more money, growing and developing themselves. The options are now unlimited for us, which makes life so much more fun.

There is no RA RA, I am not going to do a sales spiel on you. If you want to know more I will tell you how it is. If you qualify for the type of person I am looking for (as I am not looking for everyone), I will send you a detailed presentation for you to make up your own mind. I will not harass or call you multiple times. It's one follow up to answer your questions and that is it. So if you would like to chat and find out if this business could be a good match for you, no obligation, PM on Facebook or visit my website www.lovinglifenow.com.au

INSPIRATION V's COMPARING

Posted by Lee Anne Bartlett on 27 July 2014
INSPIRATION V's COMPARING
Do you look at others and compare yourself? Or are you looking at others and taking inspiration? This is a powerful concept I learn after starting my current business.

In traditional business or in the corporate world it is very competitive.  People would pull others down for them to get higher on the ladder. Back when I ran my franchise I found it very hard to look at a colleague or another business in a similar industry and take inspiration rather than competing.

When I joined my current business I brought this mindset along with me, which really didn’t serve me.  I spent my time looking at what others were achieving and getting annoyed and upset because they had achieved better than me even though I had been here longer.

This is not the way to achieve success - sitting in my own pity party and focusing on what others are doing is not a success strategy.  I have since learnt that I can look at what others are doing and use it as inspiration.  They are showing me the way and their example shows me how much more possible it is for me to achieve the same if not better. This mindset is so much more powerful and in alignment with creating success.

Have you ever been in the comparing phase?
