PROCRASTINATION

PROCRASTINATION

Are you a procrastinator? Do you keep putting things off, just because?

There really is no better time than now. You never know what is around the corner; you never know what tomorrow will bring and whether you will be able to complete those things on your “TO DO” list.

I think procrastination is the biggest reason that most people never achieve the things they want to in life. A great example is losing weight. So many people want to lose weight and say that tomorrow they will start their ‘DIET’ and then tomorrow comes and there is another excuse or reason why they push it back to start again tomorrow and tomorrow and then tomorrow. Surprise-surprise: tomorrow never actually comes, have you ever heard of a day called tomorrow? There is no such thing.

What about that income goal you have? That great idea you had to generate a larger income for you and your family. What happened? Why didn’t you take action on it? Was it because you thought tomorrow would be a better day? Or maybe you thought that if you did it tomorrow it would be easier?

If you really want all the things in life that you have on your GOAL list, then you need to become a person on action TODAY! Not a procrastinator.

The fortune really is in the follow through, so if you don’t follow through but procrastinate, you really can’t expect to have all your BIG DREAMS and GOALS.

What are you going to take action on today that you have been procrastinating over?

THE MINORITY OR THE MAJORITY

THE MINORITY OR THE MAJORITY

Would you prefer to be part of the minority? Or the Majority?

The most successful people around the world are by far part of the Minority…

There are a few questions to ask yourself to find out which group you belong too:

  • Do you make decisions that break you out of your comfort zone?
  • Are you always looking for: What else can I do? Going that little bit extra?
  • Do you have a vision? A set plan of what you want to experience in life? Written down?
  • Do you stop doing something you hate, no matter what others think or say?
  • Are you always coming up with new ideas, new ways to do things because you want to stand out, not just blend in with everyone else?
  • Are you a visionary, not a follower? Are you a leader? Do you guide others towards a better way?
  • Do you consistently, everyday, work on yourself to take it to the next level?

If you answered yes to most of the above questions then you are living in the Minority! Congratulations!

Unfortunately for people living in the Majority, they don’t really have a set plan for their life. They are typically following someone else’s plan… Just staying within their box they call life and too scared to break out and follow their own life path.

If you find you are living in the Majority, what can you do about it? First thing would be write down your goals and dreams. Then ask yourself the question… Knowing that all my goals will be reality what 3 actions am I going to take today towards making them happen? Another tip would be start working on yourself; Personal Development is a huge key to moving away from the Majority mindset.

I know which way I decide to live my life… Minority all the way… I want to live my life… not someone else’s!

EXCUSES ARE YOU LIVING BELOW THE LINE?

EXCUSES ARE YOU LIVING BELOW THE LINE?

I came across my NOW favourite quote today:

If you really want to do something, you’ll find a way. If you don’t, you’ll find an excuse. – Jim Rohn

This is so true. I speak to so many people every day who use excuses as a reason not to do something. And the funny thing is the excuse they use is usually the same reason for why they are in the situation they are in to begin with and so desperately looking for a way out from. To give you an example – someone would come to me wanting to start a home based business so they can have more flexibility, more time freedom, be able to spend more time with their children. Then they come to me with the excuse that “I didn’t have enough time to look through the information you so kindly sent me.” If a person really wanted to make that CHANGE… they would find the time.

If nothing changes, nothing changes… It really is a form of insanity to expect to get different results while doing the same things, it isn’t possible.

It really is a choice whether you want to live your life above the line… where excuses, blame, denial don’t come into the mix… Always being responsible, accountable and taking ownership. I know where I would rather live life.

What is something you can change in your life today to take you from below the line to above the line?

YOUR ENERGY AND YOUR RESULTS

YOUR ENERGY AND YOUR RESULTS

Do you find that when you are feeling tired and unwell you tend to have bad days? Nothing turns out the way you want it too? And when you are feeling in peak form physically you can achieve anything and everything just falls into place?

It comes down to your energy. Basically Like attracts like…

It is not what you say, but how you say it. You can be doing all the right things and saying all the right things, and still not be getting the results you want. Why? Because you don’t have the right energy behind you. If you are radiating Excitement and Passion, people will want what you are selling because they really want the excitement and passion you have (doesn’t matter what you are selling.)

So what do you need to do to bring yourself out of being tired and in the dumps (or just to get that Mojo back)… maybe the last thing you feel like doing – Exercise… Get active, go for a walk, go for a swim… get out in nature and soak up the fresh air. I know for me when I am tired (not sleepy tired, but just had a busy day,) if I get on the treadmill for 20 mins it energises me, I feel motivated and excited to take on the next project.

So for me this week I have started a new exercise plan – 20 mins per day before dinner I will get onto the treadmill and jog.. Rain, hail or shine.

What action will you take starting today to move you closer to your Goals?

FRUSTRATION OR FASCINATION? WHICH WOULD YOU CHOOSE?

FRUSTRATION OR FASCINATION? WHICH WOULD YOU CHOOSE?

In life you are going to have a challenges or adversity to deal with, usually when you least expect them or least want them!

I learnt a great lesson today… words like frustration only have meaning if you let them… So if you are feeling frustrated and tell yourself and everyone around you that you are frustrated… guess what – you are going to feel frustrated. From then on, every time you are moving towards that feeling of frustration that you don’t want, you think of it again and it appears again… maybe even worse than before.

Here is the lesson I learnt today thanks to an awesome Coach and Mentor of mine Kurek Ashley… If you change the word from Frustration to something else like Fascinated you take away its power. I don’t know about you, but the word Fascinated really doesn’t have the same stressful meaning as Frustration!

You can do this with lots of words like – Nervous = Fluttery or Sad = Upside Down Happy
You need to play with it.. The replacement word should be something that makes you smile or giggle… as this will take away the feeling you don’t want to feel.

I challenge you today to pick at least one word that you are going to change and continue to do this ongoing… would love to hear your feedback on the results!
